Gaints shaking hands
Tuesday, October 17th, 2006Yet another news for all ‘money making’ buffs. If you consider yourself as one of those who has set your mind to accumulating riches, then you know that acquaring knowledge from the best in the world is a must do.
Good news for you. Two of the world’s wealthiest and most well-known writer has come together to write a book on their philosophy of getting rich. You won’t believe it, I was a bit suprised myself. But it also taught me a very important lesson: Synergy /Leverage (or in Napoleon Hills’ words, the forming of a Mastermind). When you’re at their level of success in producing bestsellers, what better way to bring it to the next level than to join forces and leverage on the reputation of 2 giants!
Got your attention yet?
I’m talking about the book ‘Why We Want You to be Rich’ by Donald Trump and Robert Kiyosaki. Yes, you read those name right.
I’ve not seen it at our bookstore yet, maybe it is at the time I’m writing this. But if you’re really eager to get it now, go to Amazon.com.
If you look at the cover of the book, under the two big names are names of two other persons, Meredith McIver and Sharon Lechter. These two are the actual writers of the book, based on the ideas by Trump and Robert. See, they don’t even have to actually write the book to produce a bestseller, they just hire someone to do it for them and give them a share and include them as co-authors. Check out all of Trump’s books, Meredith is the co-author, and it’s the same for Robert and Sharon.Leverage at work again.
The two authors are leveraging on each other’s
name, and the writing skills of the co-authors. The co-authors are also
leveraging on the popularity of the two big guns.
The book didn’t get extremely good reviews but still, its on their bestseller list. Some think they’re just repeating what they’ve been saying in their last few books. Read some reviews there before you decide to buy.
I’ve been searching for a Donald Trump book, ‘The Art of the Comeback’, written by him after he bounched back from bancruptcy. Yes, he was one time billions of dollars in debt. I can’t seem to find it in bookstores anywhere, Ipoh, KL or Penang. Anyone saw it anywhere? If not, I’ll have to get it from Amazon. As we’ve been educated again and again, success comes only after failure (or failures. cause according to some experts the more you fail, the better the chances of you succeeding). It would be invaluable to have a tome from ‘the Donald’ on how to pull yourself up from a major setback. Logic: Nothing comes close to owing billions in debt as a personal financial disaster. If you can handle that, you can handle anything! Well, almost anything.
Anyone has it and want to donate it to me? Anyone? Thought so.
