Batteries running out
Monday, July 3rd, 2006I’n in my lower octane phase now. Been having a hectic work month and still another month packed with activities to come.
I’m trying to remind myself constantly: Work kills!! Relax. Take a break.
Well, maybe not the right kind of work.
You guys have no idea what I’m talking about, do you? Just bear with me, I’m not exactly in my most comprehensible mode right now, so all you have to (or get to) do, is just listen to me crap here, k. Deal?
Whatever.
I realised it’s so important to take a break to recharge and to be able to go on that I’ve decided to take the advice of this book I’m reading : ‘It’s not HOW smart you are, its HOW you are smart’ on EQ. We all know the importance of getting a good night’s sleep and the consequences of not having enough rest. It is suggested in the book that taking naps during the day is a good way to revitalise yourself and is practised by a lot of successful people, like Winston Churchill (I thought he’s only successful in making wars? That bastard!), John F. Kennedy and Ronald Reagen. Taking 15 -20 minutes every 90 to120 minutes is supposed to be the best.
Napping every 2 hours, you think what?! Me pig?! I’m gonna take, like, one or two naps throughout the day instead. Even that would be a challenging task on its own, since I work in the sales line and is driving around all the time. I’ll have to take my naps in the car. Hmm….
Looks fun.
